On Friday (27 April
2012), United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon addressed UN staff in
India at a Town Hall meeting at UN House in New Delhi. In wide ranging
informal discussions, the Secretary-General clarified questions on how the UN
can be strengthened, the important role that staff can play in the field, and
the need for increased accountability and ethics in undertaking the
UN’s work around the world. He underlined his priority of
“Working as One” and congratulated the staff for adopting a
coordinated approach to UN issues and challenges in India.
