To focus attention
on Maternal and Child Health issues, UN Secretary-General visits two
hospitals in Mumbai
In Mumbai, UN Secretary General
Mr Ban Ki-moon on 28 April 2012 visited the Cama Hospital and the Sir J. J.
Hospital to witness the progress made by India in health care. The
Secretary-General’s current visit to Mumbai was to highlight the
importance he attaches to health issues.
At both site visits, the
Secretary-General interacted with patients and staff.
“Save the Girl Child,
curb female foeticide” was one of the strong campaigns that attracted
the attention of the UN Secretary-General during his visit to the Sir
J. J. Hospital.
