The second Primrose Model United Nations Conference was organized by Primrose Schools, Chennai from 21-22 July 2018. UNIC Librarian Dr. R.K. Sharma at the closing ceremony as the chief guest addressed more than 150 participants gathered from 10 schools. He spoke on the history and importance of the MUNs and other issues on the international agenda including SDGs, Climate Change, Migration and Technology and Youth.

The conference provided a platform where 150 students discussed and debated in six committees on the various global issues and make their own contribution to resolve threatening problems of the present society. Some to the agendas included addressing the impact of climate change, universal health care and WHO standards, emerging cyber security threats. refugees and internally displaced persons and growing unrest in the Syrian Peninsula.

Mr Sharma awarded the prize-winners and spoke to the MUN participants how they can make a difference by their own contributions in achieving SDGs and become more responsible human beings and making this world a better place.
